---79 Dongfeng Light Trucks and 60 Dongfeng Road-block Removal Trucks were Exported to Saudi Arabia
"Go!" at 10:30 on June 29th, with the order of Liu Yaoping, Vice GM of DFAC, 79 Dongfeng light trucks and 60 Dongfeng road-block removal trucks filed into the Ro/ro ship waiting at the Haitong Terminal of Shanghai Waigaoqiao, which are bound to set out for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of Middle East.
As the key overseas market of Dongfeng Light Commercial Vehicles and the most promising market within Middle East area, Saudi Arabia holds a much important position. Since 2007 when DFAC established its cooperative relationship with her partner, Saudi Arabia, sales volume of Dongfeng Light Vehicles has reached nearly 1000, among which the first half of the year 2009 has contributed as much as 500 odd. At present, the cooperative plan between Saudi Arabia and DFAC has been extended to year 2012, and such long-term strategic cooperation lays a solid foundation for the persisting and healthy overseas development of DFAC.
Exploring overseas business, is one of the major strategies for DFAC to become an international manufacturer of Light Commercial Vehicles, and is also a major mission for bringing Chinese manufacture to the world, and for building Chinese brands. DFAC has obtained considerable development since it was qualified in 2003 for exporting. The company has achieved an annual sales volume increase of 85% in average and reached up to 13,058 in 2008. So far, there has been 6 markets which import more than 500 Dongfeng Light Commercial Vehicles each year, among which there are 3 that import more than 2000.
